Thanks for stopping by my corner of the internet!

I'm Natalie Rotramel, blooming where I'm planted in So. IL.

Here in the land of Poor White Trash, I'm crafting new life from what has been discarded. With a fresh perspective towards the otherwise overlooked, maybe we can learn to see hidden parts of our own nature with curiosity and compassion.

Only then, can we find what needs to change...

and grow from there.

Land Acknowledgment

The land I live on and explore here has historically included Osage, Kaskaskia, and Kickapoo territories, and is crossed by a portion of the Trail of Tears. I feel such gratitude and respect for these landscapes and their traditional custodians, and deeply regret what was lost. This site is a starting point to learning about the land you are on.

Our Impact

For each collection, I research relevant causes dedicated to helping the environment that inspired the body of work. Your purchase helps contribute to conservation organizations such as the Friends of the Shawnee National Forest, Leave No Trace, and One Tree Planted.

A Promise

My ultimate goal is to make art that goes beyond being inspired by nature, to actively helping it. I will always give consideration to my materials and process to ensure I am part of the change I wish to see in the world, and will be updating them as I grow and (un)learn along the way. These may be small steps, but there is a great impact if we are all doing the best we can!
